Projectile Washing Machine

This machine was designed for CHM2HILL as a method for processing nerve agent. The above picture shows a 10,000 lb. load of projectiles on a tray approaching the high pressure washing station. A tray of projectiles is also shown translated and rotated 180 degrees into the washing station where an array of water jets perform the cleaning. Below, the picture shows the tray of projectiles in position to be picked up and a vacant wash station showing high pressure water jet nozzles atop an array of rods. Not shown is the integrated filtration system in both pictures.

Hydraulic actuators used in all axes of motion. Roundway bearing and open ended timing belt used for horizontal translation.
